We have been mining Coltan ore for close to a decade. Our Coltan comes with a minimum purity of 30%. We export close to 90% of our Coltan.
Coltan from us, is a valuable mineral known for its exceptional chemical properties and high corrosion resistance. With a tantalum content (Ta205) of 33.03%, it is widely used in various industries for its remarkable properties. This mineral consists of tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) ranging from 35% to 45%, niobium pentoxide (Nb2O3) between 4% and 6%, iron oxide (Fe2O3) from 8% to 12%, tin oxide (SnO2) ranging from 1% to 2%, and trace amounts of thorium (Th) and uranium (U).
Coltan, with a melting point of 2996°C and a boiling point of 5425°C, exhibits a blue-gray color and has a relative atomic mass of 180.94788. Its density is 16,650 kg/m3 (or 16.654 g/cm3), and it has a hardness of 6.5 on the Mohs scale.
